And it doesn't help when your PT has high expectations of you, "because you've done this before, in your first placement".
But, as you say, it's only six weeks. (And I haven't the faintest idea how to teach programming either: I guess we'll both find out!)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18805156.post-1138658849833549102006-01-30T22:07:00.000+00:002006-01-30T22:07:00.000+00:00Hi Lesley, Hope your first day went well - I have ...Hi Lesley,

Hope your first day went well - I have no doubt it will have. I too was feeling less than excited about being back in school, but like Chris said, I think it was more the thought of having to 'settle in' again. I keep thinking we students have such a tough time, having to waltz into a class who have their own way of working and relationship with a teacher, and expect them to work the way we want them to.

Anyway best of luck for the remainder of placement....stuck_in_the_middlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11165087858704692868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18805156.post-1138579545186043272006-01-30T00:05:00.000+00:002006-01-30T00:05:00.000+00:00Amen to the above - and I'll add that being in a s...Amen to the above - and I'll add that being in a school full-time is a totally different ball game from all this dropping in and out (very unsettling). You make friends, you belong, you're not a visitor. The staff aren't strangers any more. In the time I've been teaching I've never known everything about anything. As a primary teacher teaching I have no chance of knowing even a small percentage of what I am teaching (especially ict). A couple of valid choices, be one step ahead, or don't worry about making mistakes, they can be teaching opportunities, my answer to 'how do you spell?' is lets look it up ;-)

BTW you should get over to:
http://scotedublogs.wikispaces.com
when you have a spare moment.
Good luck!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
